Well the emergency services are very swift - I drove along Nicholas Lane at 6.30pm and there was no sign of these 'rush-hour delays'

I got to that traffic at just before 6pm and it was pretty hideous both ways as the van was partially blocking one lane and the recovery vehicle with the car was in the other lane. Both smashed up pretty bad but the police there and directing traffic and obviously got it cleared up really quickly. I would say it was all recovered and sorted by the latest 6.15.

Police in Laindon? No wonder there are none in Norfolk of late.
