Fire at Thorney Bay Caravan Park on Canvey

TWO fire crews were called to a blaze at a caravan park in the early hours of this morning.

The crews were called to Thorney Bay Caravan Park on Canvey just after 1am to reports of a caravan being on fire.

When they arrived the caravan measuring 25 metres by five metres was completely alight.

Using two hose reel jets crews had extinguished the fire by 2.30am.

First three paragraphs could easily be put together into one, as they say virtually the same thing...

Yes, again and as far as I am aware the caravans are still too close together as the fire service say. However, the owners have objected to their fire services objections. This is a disaster waiting to happen with a loss of life.. They have bottled gas and if one explodes there may well be a chain reaction and a fire storm. I hope all those in Castle Point Council and the Councillors that for years ignored what was happening and allowed this holiday camp to a place of permanent residents accept if it happens they are responsible.
How many more fires like this does it take to convince them that nobody should be living there?
