A MAN will stand trial accused of using an imitation gun to terrify a staff member at a restaurant.
Petrit Bala is alleged to have gone into Salsa, in London Road, Southend, with what appeared to be a black handgun.
He is accused of using it to threaten Jose Coelho, before assaulting him on October 17.
Bala, 38, of Lancaster Gardens, Southend, appeared before Southend Magistrates Court yesterday.
He was bailed on condition he does not contact any prosecution witnesses. Bala will appear at Basildon Crown Court on January 21 to enter a plea.
