TWELVE people will appear in court after being charged with drug offences following raids across Basildon.
Officers from Essex Police carried out warrants in 14 properties as part of their burglary crackdown Operation Nemesis.
The force believe that drug dealing is linked to a high number of break-ins and thefts across the area.
A total of 22 people were arrested following the raids on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The twelve who have been charged, who are all from Basildon or London, will appear at Southend Magistrates Court today.
The remaining ten people have been released on police bail until the end of Januay whilst officers carry out further investigations.
