Elderly man injured in crash

AN ELDERLY pedestrian has been injured following a crash in Southend.

The man in his 80s was struck by a vehicle in Bournemouth Park Road and suffered a cut to his head.

An ambulance took him to Southend Hospital at about 3pm today, but his injuries are not believed to be serious.
