Co-op held up by robber armed with knife
4:30pm Tuesday 13th November 2012 in Local News
A ROBBER held up a Co-op store on Canvey last night...but made off with less than £100.
The crook marched up to the till at the store in Meppel Avenue when a staff member saw a knife in his pocket.
He demanded cash but never brandished the knife.
He then made off at about 4.30pm on Monday with a two figure sum of cash.
He was described as aged 20 to 30, stocky, and about six feet tall.
Anyone with information should call police at Canvey on 101.

This makes a right mockery of falling crime rate our government trumpets doesn't it?
Not on Canvey and dare anyone suggest not since Thorney Bay's expansion.
No need for the shortly elected Police Commisioner to look when elected for priorities is there? Am forming my first communication now.
