Driver taken to Southend Hospital after car crashes into tree

A DRIVER was taken to hospital after his car ploughed into a tree.

Firefighters from Southend were called to the incident in Woodgrange Drive, Southend, at 4.45am on Saturday.

The casualty was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Southend Hospital with minor injuries.
