Mum and teens left terrified after armed raid on home

A MUM and her two children were left terrified after five armed raiders burst into their home.

The mum and two teenagers were at their home in Love Lane, East Tilbury on Saturday when the masked men burst in.

Armed with weapons, they threatened the terrified woman and her children before stealing cash and jewels.

The raiders are all described as white, aged in their 20s, four were of average height and of slim build.

Witnesses to the aggravated burglary, which happened at 9.20pm on Saturday, can contact detectives at Grays CID on 101.

You're right - I doubt whether anyone living in Tilbury would have "jewels" to steal.

I can't count how many times I have upset people by remembering they live in Tilbury, only to be corrected violently with 'Tilbury Town!', or 'East Tilbury!'

People will have heirlooms, and jewelery regardless of where they happen to live.
