yes i did look at the bbc site and you would notice there was a traffic hold up on the clockwise but wasnt nothing to do with the lorry accident,look at the bbc site again look at the incident nearer to the crossing thats the one with the lorries

and how could you possibly rejoin the motorway after leaving jcn31 clockwise ??? traffic was diverted off 31 and rejoined at 30 because that was where the accident was (anticlockwise)

And guess what.......they still charged me to go through the tolls even though it is supposed to be free in heavy traffic

I remember the time when lorry drivers were considered good drivers!

These days especially on the M25 so many lorries are driven like mad by lunatics, who these days has not suffered a lorry almost touching your rear bumper at 70 mph?

Who has not nearly had their front ripped off by a lorry pulling out.

Who has not nearly lost their front wing by lorries taking up every lane when negotiating roundabouts.

Yes I know we need lorries and I know we will never have enough Police on the roads to deal with them so I treat them all like a dreaded disease and believe they will all drive like lunatics and give way or expect EVERYTIME they will cut me up or pull out.

So do I. As a point of interest, virtually all Artics and other HGV's are governed to 56 mph so your 70mph seems a wee bit off the mark. Also, have you ever driven an Artic in heavy traffic? No - thought not as if you had, you would be aware that on some occasions Artics utilise more than one lane to control their vehicle and in particular on smaller roundabouts. Most drivers with more than half a brain realise this and make allowances. I said most, not all. Unfortunately society and life would come to an abrupt end if Artics and other HGV's were not on the roads. I do agree that some younger HGV drivers seem manic and I'd like to know how much they paid for their forged licence but that's another issue. Driving involves a lot of common sense...We all have it but some of us tend not to use it......

the reason why artics seem 2 drive like that is the pressure put on them by there bosses , making them do timed deliverys ie supermarket r d c ,s if there not dead on time the big companys turn them away with heavy financial costs to the transport firm ,they are given unrealistic times to get to places ,by traffic planners and transport mgrs ,its the transport bosses and big customers who are to blame , perhaps if the drivers wernt under so much pressure to make deliverys on time and all for a pittance of a wage , with very long hours then they wouldnt drive like they do , also car drivers are not blameless , look at the standard of sum of there driving ?

I was 2 cars behind the lorry as this happened. Being there and helping get the windscreen out of the drivers face is something I never want to experience ever again. The fact some people had hours of delays and having to pay for the toll seems a small price to pay. The fact the young driver got out alive is unbelievable. I hope he makes a full recovery.

My wife and I were talking about this the other day as we were stuck on the A13 after the fatal crash there. We couldn't believe one bloke go out of his car and stormed down to the poliece car in front, then stormed back huffing and puffing!

Being stuck in a bit of traffic may be inconvenient, but it nothing in comparison to losing someone you love. The family of the driver that day will feel worse for a long time, than the family of a man or woman who is an hour late getting home.

Thankfully this time it was not a fatal on the M25 and well done for helping. Unfortunately I don't see how this morning's accident can have the same outcome :-(

You are right it does look like a possible fatal
