Air ambulance lands on Chalkwell seafront Air ambulance lands on Chalkwell seafront

A MAN suffering head injuries was found unconscious in a Chalkwell flat.

Emergency services were called to the block of flats in The Leas on the seafront near Admiral’s Place near to the junction with Crowstone Road at 2pm today after a neighbour made the discovery.

The air ambulance was sent to the scene and the man was airlifted to hospital in a critical, life-threatening condition.

Police are now trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s discovery. Police blocked off the road so the helicopter could land and transport the man to hospital.

Five police cars and half a dozen officers were still at the scene two hours later and plain clothes detectives were interviewing neighbours.

Investigating the circumstances around the man's discovery? Or the man's injuries?

The discovery was made by a neighbour, so if the Echo is correct in reporting it - he must have been arrested by now...

These lot will do anything for a bit of overtime but try reporting a crime to them and they will come up with every excuse in the book not to investigate it.
