Flooded Benfleet road is sorted after pumping blunder (From Echo)

Road still only partially open this morning, seems to be an issue with scaffolding on one side and although there is water on the side that is open does not seem to be causing a problem.

But Ray the road is still closed so you haven't managed to solve anything YET AGAIN its the people YOU represent in your Essex County Councillor capacity suffer and all you can do is apologies which just isn't good enough. We need the truth of how long this work is going to take and how long are we expected to have to put up with the road being partially closed NO MORE HIDING THE TRUTH!!!

at 7.50 this morning and 4.30 tonight, I drove under the bridge, along Ferry Road and it is fully open. No traffic at all. So what road is closed????

What you say is right, but frankly I don't want to hear another date for completion which won't be met. This is just like Sadler's Farm constantly being told by Essex County Council it was on schedule to finish last March, then April, then June, then by the Olympics (August) then by November and still not finished. At least this bridge needed replacements so when the work for that is finished we will be back to the usual go slow. Much like down Canvey Way when Sadler's Farm is finished. Still queue down Canvey Way in rush hour and last Friday it took me 4 traffic light changes before I joined the queue and not everyone is back to work yet.

The road is still blocked so once again Ray Howard has failed to get it open.

Ray - when are you going to resign, as clearly you are not up to the job.

The road will continue to be blocked during off-peak hours for a while yet.

I thought this was all going to be completed by January 6th, or was this another failing by Essex County Council in which Ray Howard is supposed to represent residents.

The road is single lane between the rush hours until about end of the month to allow continuing work on the bridge nothing to do with flooding pehaps if the 4 muppets were to turn round they would see the contractors at work.

Nothing at all, but don't you think he should have learnt by now and not be so gullible? Judging from your Ps they haven't solved the flood problem either. So what happens the next time we get a downpour? Cannot open over the railway now can they, because the trains are now running. Councillor Howard kept telling people they could to relieve traffic when it would only be used for emergency vehicles. He is even going to,ask Essex CC why it wasn't opened Christmas Eve when the trains were still running. Councillor Howard kept on saying it would be opened for the public, but it was only ever going to be opened just like the other emergency exit to Pitsea for emergency vehicles only. How did he get that wrong?

Don't be so silly did Councillor Howard say or not that the emergency exit over the railway line should be open to the public when it would only be open for emergency vehicles yes or no?
Did he not say he was going to ask Essex CC why it wasn't opened to ease traffic when the trains were still running Christmas Eve?
I am not giving advice at all I am asking questions.
