9:49am Wednesday 9th January 2013 in Local News By Emma Thomas
A CELEBRATION of all things Abba will be held to raise money for local good causes.
On Sunday, January 13 the Park Inn Palace hotel in Southend will host the Abba and Mamma Mia charity night.
The evening will see tribute act Abba Love perform first and then there will be a screening of the popular film Mamma Mia in the ballroom.
Sally Carr has chosen three causes to support during her year as Southend Mayor - Southend Hospital’s Elizabeth Lowry ward, the Southend branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Kickstart fund which she set up to support Southend organisations helping young people get back into work.
Doors open at 6pm and entertainment will start at 7pm.
Tickets cost £10 and are available on the door or by calling the chairman of the Mayor’s events committee, Roger Slocombe, on 01702 582314.
