Commuters were stranded this morning after a train broke down.
Passengers on the c2c line from Shoebury to London were stuck after the 7.03am train broke down near Limehouse.
Engineers were sent in and trains stuck between West Ham and Limehouse were sent back to West Ham so people could get off and use the District Line service.
c2c tickets were accepted on the Greater Anglia service from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street.
A spokesman for c2c said: “We apologise to all our customers for the delays this morning, which has been caused by a broken-down train near Limehouse. c2c tickets are available on London Underground, Docklands and Greater Anglia services and some trains are being diverted to Liverpool Street.”
