POLICE investigating an assault at a Southend nightlcub have issued a new photograph of a man they wish to talk to.

The incident occurred at Element in Alexandra Street,on October 27, last year where a 24 year old man from Rayleigh was assaulted and left with a fractured jaw.

It happened around 1.15am on the first floor of the club and the victim needed was hospital treatment.

Dc Richard Siggers at Southend CID said: "Despite the passage of time we are determined to try and get justice for the victim. This is a very clear picture of the man we want to speak to about this nasty assault.

" If anyone can name him, or the man himself, should contact me at Southend police station on 101. Or call Crimestoppers, where they can give information anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Three months and they only now issue a picture. How is that "determined to try and get justice for the victim"? Not trying very hard, are we?

Element security scan everyone's I d on entry. Which scans a photo, name, date of birth and address or passport number. All they have to do is look at CCTV for what time he entered, and from that they should be able to find out what time his I d was scanned.

This should be the case if its his I d used. If not then find the person who's I d he used and talk to them.

Not really rocket science is it?

Yeah I did think this.. also have they tried looking at the pictures for element nightclub on the facebook page? he might be tagged in it..

Yeah I did think this.. also have they tried looking at the pictures for element nightclub on the facebook page? he might be tagged in it.. perhaps the nightclubs should also be made aware and to keep and eye out for him.

If you type Ben Coleman Wickford in to Facebook, you actually do get an account with pics that DOES look like the person in the Echo pic. So I tend to think that AnonCrimeFigther is telling the truth and Ben Coleman is the correct name. Hopefully Anon really has reported it like he says, but Echo or someone else may want to make sure.
