What you are saying about the snow (From Echo)

Heavy Snow in Rayleigh, the panto's starting as a Clio screams its way up Crown Hill, in first gear, all over the place...

I expect there will be the usual mass school closure tomorrow ?
Here is a comment from someone in the US.

Did 44 miles on the motorcycle today, they have done a good job gritting, no problems. To those claiming heavy snow... it really isn't.

Southchurch Road still not gritted at 4:20pm

A massive snowman and wife in Chalkwell park, with a small snow dog inbetween....then some 13-ish year old kid ran straight into one of them with his mates laughing and swigging monster (1 can between 8) and the builders (who i think were visiting the area) of the snow people just stood there...must of been thinking WTF....nice kids been brought up well....who all shouted they will be back later to finish them off, be surprised if they are still standing.

Its hard enought o get them out these days let alone specifing times of arrival in streets, give them a chance there are a lot of bus routes through this area!!!!

The difference between the areas of the A13 covered by ECC & SBC are very noticable, I have to say I think SBC haven't gritted their portion. So, if they are not gritting trunk routes, I suppose we cannot be surprised if bus routes have been left too.

You'd have thought Southend Council would have a bad weather plan, with at least someone going in to work and updating their website to let everyone know what is happening.

Why is Westborough School closed? No more snow overnight. Only school in Southend to close so far. Not like it's in the countryside. Was there a local fall of snow unique to the Westborough ward? Far to easy to shut a school. Others have managed to open.

Had a really peaceful weekend as I was not awoked by the orange and white flying alarm clocks, hoo rah for snow , and thanks to the evironment agency they could not use de-icers on the runway as it is banned until proper drainage is layed. dont you just notice how quite it has become everywhere.

Yeah yeah. At 4am today they were clearing the runway. Almost a normal service ran over the weekend.

You were definitely asleep. See, those planes aren't as loud as half the nimbys on here claim.
