Airlines come and airlines go. Been like that for decades. It is the nature of the business. Unless and airline is in ultra strong financial position (and few are) it is going to be a constant balancing act to keep its planes in the air. The really big names only tend to survive because of the branding but we have even see a few of these fall.

Would you care to elaborate on your comment, as you clearly have something to say on the issue but your comment appears to be a futile attempt at comedy that clearly fails.

I take it you are aware that this is a financial failure of the airline and it’s failure was not caused by the operating procedures employed at Southend Airport , many airlines grow too quickly for their own good and fail to properly ascertain the financial viability of a route they are operating, it also needs taking into account that if passenger numbers are low it is not necessarily the arrival airport putting people off, the things most people take into account are the cost of the flight and the timings, an lacklustre advertising campaign has been the death knell of several airlines of the decades.

This is not the first time we have had an airline not able to step up to what was promised. For goodness sake try a PROPER airline if you must.

Having undertaken a look back at previous stories relating to the airport “maxell” clearly has an Anti-airport view, I therefore summarise that he commented not just to be the first to comment on the story but did so in the manner he undertook as to appear the be “funny” in his comment.

A second line of thought is that because he could not find a way to attack the airport for the failure of the airline he commented simply to comment.

Such comments are noted to come from those that lack any real knowledge of the subject relating to the story, so a “quirky” comment is all they can post, they believe in a misguided way that they have more to convey on the subject than they actually do whilst being unable to admit openly that they do not understand the situations that arose to the failure of the airline.

This was a “proper” airline it had all the licences and permits that it required to operate, if it had not met the exacting demands of the regulations set down across Europe they would not have been permitted to operate any services.

If by proper you mean like British Airways you only have to look back to see the demise of countless other airlines such as Swissair & DanAir or do you class these too as not proper airlines, a little knowledge of the subject will prevent foolish comments.

OLT Express Poland (ICOA: YAP) was a Polish charter airline, formally known as Yes Airways. On the 31st July 2012 it suspended all charter services, less than a week after the scheduled sister airline OLT Express Regional cancelled all its services. Stranded customers are to be returned home on LOT servicesAll leased aircraft were repossessed by lessors, and even some wet lease pilots were released back to their employer airlines. Thank you Professor Wild-man Clark I read with interest your analogy of my past comments its good to know that I have a groupie(although a bit weird) , surely you must recognise that nobody gives too hoots about your comments the very same as they care for mine. I do detect an anorak mentality when you can take an 8 word comment and manage to turn it into three paragraphs, and I have contributed to this string with up to date bona-fide information that is well researched, the fact that I may or may not like the airport is only your opinion which you are entitled to the same as you appear to be a complete anorak is my opinion of your good self, I respect your comment I wonder if you are able to respect mine.

An effort to save OLT Express failed......let's move on....they have gone...but new ones will try to succeed in the future.
