Death rate probe to be launched at Basildon hospital
A PROBE into death rates at Basildon Hospital is to be launched.
The hospital trust is one of five in the country which will be investigated by medical director Sir Bruce Keogh.
The other trusts include Colchester Hospital.
Sir Keogh made the announcement following the publication of the inquiry into mistreatment and neglect of patients at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust.

ing lower graded people to do work which should be done by staff with more experience, employing people who cannot understand/cannot be understood in the English language. Farming out services to private companies etc. - the list goes on and on. All been drawn to senior managers and ministers attention numerous times in the past.
Instead of wasting money on investigations and reports put the money into funding for adequate staff to do the job
