Family of fraudsters caught ripping off casino
7:30am Thursday 21st February 2013 in Local News
A FAMILY of fraudsters was caught ripping off a Southend casino.
Bo Bond, 25, of Simons Avenue, Leigh, admitted she had got “greedy” when abusing her position as receptionist at Rendezvous casino.
She had been using other employees’ computers to take advantage of the casino’s loyalty scheme.
Bond would divert points to her relatives which they could be used to buy food in casinos within the London Clubs International.
Large amounts of points could, and were, used to pay for electrical goods including televisions and iPods.
The fraud ring was eventually exposed following an audit by the casino - and after CCTV showed her accessing computers at key times.
In total the fraud amounted to £8,500.
Bo Bond appeared in the dock at Basildon Crown Court alongside father Brian Bond, mother Bunty O’Sullivan, and sister Polliana Bond.
Her stepmother Pamela Shepherd, 47, of Lark Hill Road, Canewdon, also appeared but a charge of fraud was dropped.
Bo Bond pleaded guilty to four counts of an employee, committed between May 2011 and June 2012. Brian Bond, 59, of Lark Hill Road, Canewdon, Polliana Bond and Bunty O’Sullivan, all admitted one count of fraud by false representation.
Polliana Bond, 29, of Collier Way, Southend, and Bunty O’Sullivan, 57, of Rectory Garth, Rayleigh, were sentenced to a two year conditional discharge as they played lesser parts in the fraud. Polliana was also ordered to pay £200 compensation.
Brian and Bo Bond are due to be sentenced on March 14 once reports have been carried out.

So what other laws are you happy for people to break as you either respect ALL laws or none at all you can not pick and choose which one's to follow and which to ignore.
Hopefully the casino will chase them up for the money lost, if thet loose their home so be it.
