Despite our new police and crime commissioner's promises of action to combat Canvey's crime wave the police presence on the Island is nothing more than token. I'm sure they work very hard and I mean no disrespect to them, but how can a team of detectives catch criminals if they're sitting in an office all day?
The bad guys know it's open season on Canvey and I wonder just how long before an innocent victim is killed by one of them or a robber is killed by vigilantes.
Sadly, that's the way it's all heading.
