SHOPPERS were stunned by three different flash mobs at Lakeside.
The performances, on a busy Saturday afternoon, raised £800 for charity.
Bokwa groups surprised shoppers early in the morning with energetic routines from the latest global dance fitness craze to raise awareness for a St Luke’s Hospice fundraiser in Basildon.
In the afternoon, Rock Choir members sang and Southend street dance crew Designed Kaos performed to a Michael Jackson number to raise money for Comic Relief.
Crowds gathered to watch the flash mobs and some even joined in.
Izzie Peskett, marketing manager for Lakeside, said: “We have the opportunity to help charities reach a large audience here at Lakeside so we were delighted to host these flash mobs.
“We also thought it would be a fantastic way to treat our shoppers to a fun surprise when they were least expecting it.”
