Crooks threaten family after raid on home

A FAMILY were threatened in their own home after raiders forced their way in.

The crooks forced their way into the house in Clayburn Circle, Basildon at 9.15pm on Thursday.

They threatened the family and demanded cash before fleeing.

One of the thugs is described as white, aged in his late 20s to 30s, tall, of stocky build with a thin moustache and a trimmed beard. He wore a large black jacket, beanie hat and black trousers.

Police have released an e-fit of the suspect.

Detectives are probing the aggravated burglary and are appealing for witnesses to call them on 101.
