Dog day afternoon for pooches

SAY hello to Vange’s dogs with the waggiest tails.
Roz and Sky, owned by Sue Hocking, took home the dog show title when perfect pooches and their owners strutted their stuff at Vange Hill Drive Community Park.
The show was organised to encourage pet parents to bring their dogs to be microchipped for free.
Dogs were also awarded for having the prettiest eyes, best trick, and being the best puppy or scruffiest dog. The best junior handler also receivedaprize.
There wasachance for owners to sign up to dog obedience classes during the day organised by South Anglia Housing.
Meanwhile children could have fun on a bouncy castle, have their faces painted and take part in fun competitions.
Organisations attending include the RSPCA, PDSA and Dogs Trust, as well as kennels, dog food and training businesses.
Tracy White, managing director of South Anglia Housing, said: “By next year, it will be compulsory for dogs to be microchipped so we put on this event to help our residents be more responsible with their pets.
“By having your pet microchipped, there is a much higher chance of seeing them again if they go missing.”
