A MAN accused of breaking into a home armed with a knife will be tried in front of a jury.

Josh Jerram, 20, of Sydney Road, Tilbury, pleaded not guilty to breaking into the home in Celandine Close, South Ockendon, on August 22.

He faced a charge of aggravated burglary when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.

A trial, expected to last three days, has been set for March 3 at Basildon Crown Court.

He has been remanded in custody until then.
