THE Rendezvous Casino is seeking charities in need of extra help.

One member of staff a week from the Southend casino will be sent out to lend a helping hand at local charities, as the business looks to build on its existing fundraising efforts.

Last year, 18 casino workers completed a skydive in aid of Mind, but marketing manager Junior Garrod is keen to give something more than just money.

He said: “This is not about money.

“This is about getting stuck in and helping where we can.

“Charities work so hard and we want to hear from those that could do with an extra pair of hands.

“We want people that need the help, rather than the ones that always get the help.”

Mr Garrod is keen for the new endeavour to be embraced by all the staff at the casino. He added: “Everyone from bar staff, to kitchen workers, to managers, to croupiers and valets, everyone will be doing their bit.”

To contact Mr Garrod and nominate your charity, send an e-mail jgarrod@lciclubs.com call the casino on 01702 616000 or got http://southend.rendezvouscasino.com/
