Melissa Field, 26, of Mansell Close, Eastwood, admitted beating a woman in Southend on July 6. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15.

David Garner, 18, of The Drive, Rochford, admitted entering Ruskin Avenue contrary to an antisocial behaviour order on January 12. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15.

Mark Wainwright, 36, of Canonsleigh Crescent, Leigh, admitted damaging personal items belonging to a woman on December 29, in Leigh, and assaulting her. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.

Steven Watts, 26, of Lakeside Path, Canvey, admitted driving a BMW without a licence in Victoria Avenue, Southend, on December 27. His licence was endorsed and he was fined £110, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £40 costs.

Trevor Clift, 51, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk in a public place, using racially insulting words and behaving in an aggressive manner contrary to an antisocial behaviour order in Southend, on January 11, and racially-aggravated use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Southend, on November 1. He was imprisoned for 12 weeks and four weeks to run concurrently. He was also given three sentences of 12 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for six months for being drunk in public, threatening a person and damaging a metal detector screen worth £500 at The Forum on January 7.

Kelvin Mathers, 32, of First Avenue, Westcliff, admitted trespassing on railway lines at Westcliff railway station on December 29. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15.

Philip Slattery, 52, of Surbiton Road, Southend, admitted claiming jobseekers’ allowance dishonestly between June 6 and June 11. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Purdey Clarke, 36, of Southchurch Avenue, Southend, admitted damaging the front door of a house on Preston Road, Westcliff and using threatening or insulting words or behaviour on August 18. She was made subject to a restraining order preventing her from visiting the property until July 13, fined £60 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20.
