A CAR crash blocked an underpass on the A127.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident on the A127 Rayleigh Weir (A129) this morning, blocking the underpass at about 8.40am.

Traffic was diverted along the roundabout though one lane of the underpass was quickly opened.

However there were delays from Leigh to Rayleigh of about 40 minutes.

An ambulance crew was called to assess people at the scene but no-one was injured, though one of the cars was reported to be badly damaged at the rear.

How? They must have been going some then.

Most crashes are caused by people not keeping their distance.
