FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in a industrial unit on the Temple Farm Industrial Estate.
Crews from Leigh and Southend were called to the MOT Centre building in Fletcher's Square, Southend at 7.05pm tonight after the building caught light.
Firefighters on the scene report the units are 100 per cent alight.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and two main jets to tackle the fire.
A thermal image camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.
The fire was extinguished by 8:05pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and the fire service will carry out an investigation.
