A SIX vehicle crash has brought traffic to a standstill on the A13.

The A13 westbound is blocked between Sadlers Farm at the A130 and the A132 Pitsea Flyover.

Traffic is stationary at the roundabout as a result.

Two people have been brought out of their vehicles on spinal boards. Fire crews are in attendance.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s are being assessed by paramedics who have not yet left the scene. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

The crash happened just after 4.30pm.

until a nothern by-pass is built traffic problems will continue to escalate.they can tinker as much as they like, wasting money on altering junctions, the fact is the roads are just not fit for purpose. wickford ,raleigh ,hadleigh ,leigh ,rochford, shoebury,s
outhend, all will become more and more conjested.multi traffic accidents are inevitable as peoples frustration builds.ideally a new route from shoebury connecting to rettendon turnpike would improve traffic flows for the whole peninsula.reducing pollution, aiding commerce and improving the quality of life for everyone on the eastern end of the peninsula.

What an old photo on this article. Harks back to the old days before Sadlers Farm roundabout had all those months of roadworks.
