WITNESSES are being asked to come forward after a woman was hit by a car in a supermarket car park.

The woman was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta at the Pipps Hill Retail Park Asda during what police described as “an altercation” on Friday at about 10.30am.

The woman, whose silver Toyota MR2 was also damaged, was uninjured when the man driving the Fiesta struck her but officers are continuing to investigate.

Any witnesses to the woman being hit or to the damaged caused to the MR2 that morning are urged to contact investigating officers at Laindon Road Policing Unit on 101.
