POLICE investigating a mass brawl between a number of gangs of teenagers have released an Efit of a man who played a “key part” in the fight.

Armed cops stormed a daylight punch-up in Hill Road, Southend on Friday, June 6, just after 6.30pm.

Police said the brawl was between various groups of youths who had previously has a disagreement in Priory Park, with later turned into a fight.

Police have now issued an Efit in the hopes of identifying a man they want to speak to.

Investigating officer Dc Mark Sawyer said: "We are now releasing an Efit of a man we want to identify and hope that that someone will know who he is.

"This incident caused upset and fear for the local community and I am keen to establish the reason for this happening and to deal with any identified offenders.

“The man in the Efit played a key part in the disturbance and I need to speak to him as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to contact Dc Sawyer at Southend CID on 101 or they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Funny thing is the gangs are teenagers but he is described as a "man". A man, to my way of thinking, is not a brawling teenager.

The technical term for such people is "yobs".

A hundred years ago, this lot would have been marching off to war with a 60lb backpack, to, in millions of cases, certain death.

SOME (not all) of today's youth are a disgrace to their memory.
