Lifeboat launched to search for woman
THE Southend RNLI inshore lifeboat was launched to rescue a woman seen in the water off Shoebury.
The RNLI crew received reports of concerns for the woman's safety shortly before 1am on Thursday.
The crew searched the area and found the woman who was met by police and coastguard units on shore.
The police helicopter was also on scene.
