Audi stolen from driveway

AN Audi was stolen from a driveway after thieves forced their way through a front door to steal car keys and cash.

Police are reminding residents to make sure they have double locked their UPVC doors after the burglary in Thundersley Grove, Befleet.

Crooked forced or opened the door to the property and took keys from a table by the front door, as well as a wallet containing cash and cards.

The thieves then stole the car from the driveway.

PC Andy Copley who is investigating said: "Please remember to double lock doors and do not leave car keys and valuables within sight of windows.”

Mr Copley is urging witnesses or anyone with information about the incident, which happened overnight on July 9 and 10, to call Southend CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Whats the point of making your house a fortress if they want your car they will get it.
Double locking doors still can be broken in and costs more to fix.
Hiding your keys means they will look around more and cause damage doing so.
So just make sure you are insured
