A LUCKY south Essex couple are all set to jet across the world on the holiday of their dreams after winning a competition.

Kimberly Field, of Redgrave Road, Basildon, has been named the winner of the Basildon Festival Leisure Park Passport to Oz competition.

Miss Field will be heading to Australia next summer with her boyfriend Chris Ricketts to enjoy her prize.

She said: “I am so happy and excited to be picked as the Passport to Oz winner.

“Me and my boyfriend are now planning our trip to Australia for next summer and hoping to visit some of the country’s most popular destinations.

“A big thank you to Festival Leisure Park for giving us this fantastic opportunity.”

The competition was launched earlier this year as away of thanking the leisure complex’s loyal customers.

Visitors had to collect stickers from various venues around the site last month.

Centre manager Peter Scopes said: “A big congratulations to Kimberly for being our Passport 2 Oz winner.

“We had an overwhelming number of entries, and would like to thank everyone who entered, as well as every single customer for visiting us this summer.

“The park was busier than the same period last year, which shows the continuing popularity of Festival Leisure Park”

The centre is running a September Selfie competition with an iPad MIni as a prize.

Visitors can enter by taking a selfie photo of themselves at the leisure park and posting it on social media.
