A long campaigned for bus route to Bas Vegas is to be axed to save money.
The 236 service, which is funded by Essex County Council, is to be stopped in January next year.
The authority claims the service costs £8.13 to run per person and is commercially unviable.
It sets a maxiumum threshold of £5 per person for routes which are not profitable for private companies to run.
