The Government has stumped up £3.2million towards a two huge airport business parks that will create 7,000 jobs.
Whitehall has given out the cash to the two parks, off Cherry Orchard Way, in Rochford, as part of Southend and Rochford Council's Joint Area Action Plan. (JAAP)
The JAAP, which got planning inspectorate approval in December, is expected to create 7,000 jobs being over 10-15 years through the construction of more than 100,000 sqm of new employment space.
This latest cash offering will be used on building costs and road improvements.
It adds to £11million already in the kitty from Southend and Rochford Councils.
