Car on fire halts traffic
A BLAZING car has caused traffic chaos on the A1245.
The car, which was outside the View Garden Centre on Chelmsford Road, Wickford, was fully alight by the time two fire engines arrived at about 6pm, blocking traffic on the main road.
Crews used two hose reels and wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze and left the scene shortly after 7pm.
There were no casualties and a fire investigation will now take place.
