ANOTHER Ford Fiesta has been stolen in Rayleigh as the south Essex crime wave continues.

More than 70 vehicle crimes have been recorded in Basildon in the past three months, with Fiestas being a prime target.

The wave has continued in Rayleigh with Chloe Warren’s blue Fiesta being stolen from outside Kestrel Grove sometime between 10pm on Thursday, April 30, and 5am the following morning.

Miss Warren, 22, said: “It’s had a huge impact on me.

“I haven't been able to go to work. I haven’t got a courtesy car either, so I will just have to wait for the insurance company to sort my claim.

“My boyfriend was a couple of hours late for work as we had to sort everything out. To top it all off it got stolen on my birthday.”

Tina Bull, 53, had her white Fiesta stolen from Albany Road, Rayleigh, earlier last week and the Echo has also heard of one poor Rayleigh resident who has had two Fiestas stolen from the same address in the past two months.
