A MASS power cut in Pitsea has seen customers evacuated from supermarkets and information screens go down at the train station.

The power cut is believed to have hit around 4.30pm and saw customers evacuated from Tesco Extra on Station Lane as the entire store was plunged into darkness.

Train operator c2c has also reported the power cut has affected their station at Pitsea, with information screens out of order until further notice.
