POLICE want to hear from anyone who can help with an investigation into the sexual assault of a woman in Westcliff-on-Sea on Thursday September 3.

The victim, in her 60s, was walking along Hamlet Court road over the railway bridge at around 6.20pm when a man ran up and touched her inappropriately before then running away.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 20s, around 5ft 11in tall with light coloured hair.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the suspect or who has any other information which could help is asked to call PC David Kateley at Southend Police Station on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

It offers rewards of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest and or conviction of offenders.
