Worker rushed to hospital after steel falls on him
A MAN has been rushed to hospital after an industrial accident in Wickford.
A bundle of steel fell onto a man, who is believed to be in his 20s, at Shotgate Industrial Estate, at about 11am.
A spokesman from the ambulance service said: "We sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
"The man is believed to have suffered traumatic injuries.
"He has serious leg injuries, although it is not life threatening.
"He was taken by land ambulance to Basildon hospital for further care."
