A SCHOOL’S Brilliant Club enjoyed a taste of university life during a special graduation event at St John’s College in Cambridge.
The Cornelius Vermuyden School club had a tour and workshops before receiving certificates for taking part in the national Brilliant Club Scheme, which works with youngsters who have aspirations to go to university.
Nick Knowland, assistant subject leader for English at the school, said: “Our students reflected on their great achievements in the Brilliant Club’s Scholar’s Programme, which was a huge success, with students scoring some of our best-ever results.
“It was a day for our pupils to savour their hard work, enjoy praise from organisers and receive their certificates.”
