CANCER Research UK is asking people to sign up for its ninth Relay For Life.

The continuous running event sees teams take it in turns to walk round a track for an entire weekend.

The charity is encouraging friends, family and work colleagues to get together and enter the relay which will help the charity tackle cancer.

Teams of between eight to 15 people are needed to take part in Southend Relay For Life over the weekend of July 29-30.

Runners take it in turns to walk or run round a track through the night.

This is the ninth time Relay For Life has taken place in Southend.
