A MAN will face a crown court hearing accused of multiple drugs and driving offences.
Derwyne Williams, 34, of St Peters Road, north London, appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court last week after police arrested him in Basildon on Friday, March 17.
Williams has been charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drug diamorphine and possession of cannabis, which is a class B drug.
He was further charged with driving a black Ford Focus along Churchill Avenue in Craylands and Lincoln Road in a dangerous manner.
Another charge related to him allegedly having £237 in used notes on him, which are believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Williams will next appear at Basildon Crown Court on Tuesday, April 18.
The magistrates heard a bail application but decided to remand him in custody until the next hearing.
Anyone with any information about people possessing drugs is asked to call the Operation Raptor drugs squad on Essex Police 101 or crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
