Police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an aggravated burglary in Southend.

It happened at an address in Palmeira Avenue, Southend on the night of March 27 at around 10pm.

Three men forced their way into a property armed with a hammer and what is believed to have been a gun.

They engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim, a man in his 20s.

One of the men then hit a wall with the hammer while another fired what is believed to be an air gun at the ceiling

The group then all made off. When they left they were seen to get into a dark coloured car and drive off towards Station Road.
No-one was injured.
