A man has been charged with attempted murder after police were called to an incident where a man had received multiple stab wounds.
Scott Stanton, 40, of Langdon Hills, was arrested on Saturday August 19 following the incident near to Kathleen Ferrier Crescent.
He was charged the following day with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in Basildon.
He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrate's Court today.
The victim, who is in his 40s, suffered serious injuries, although they are not life threatening.
