Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is looking to target Rochford and Southend East at the next general election.

Speakingat the Labour eastern region conference, Mr Corbyn said the constituency was a priority for the party, as well as Norwich North and Colchester.

He said: "The places that we are going to prioritise for winning are Rochford and Southend East, Norwich North and Colchester, which have not traditionally been Labour seats and it shows just how far our party is advancing.

"We are winning along the south coast, we are winning along the east coast of this country.

"Labour is a party which is campaigning in every single part of the country."
