A heartbroken women has paid tribute to her “beautiful” sister who died in a horror smash on the Dartford Crossing.

Abi Harvey, 21, from Langdon Hills, was involved in a serious crash with a lorry on the M25 at about 4.42am on Friday, November 3.

She was rushed to Kings College Hospital by air ambulance, where she died three days later.

Her sister, Chloe Harvey, has since started a fundraising drive on You Caring in a bid to raise £5,000 for Kings College Hospital Critical Care Unit, who cared for Abi before she died.

She wrote on the page: “On Friday, November 3, my beautiful sister Abi Aimee-grace Harvey was involved in a car accident.

“This accident proved to be fatal. Abi unfortunately died on Sunday, November 5.

“We can’t thank the air ambulance, the doctors and nurses at Kings College Hospital and everyone that knew and sent their best wishes enough.

“This has been the toughest time in my life that I’ve ever had.

“If any one wishes to donate to the Kings College Hospital Critical Care Unit, please do.

“I’ll love you always Abi.”

Chloe has already managed to raise £1,300 from generous donations.

Tributes flooded in for the former Appleton school student, with one person writing: “Our deepest condolences, a bright and caring young lady taken away far to early. Our thoughts are with you all.”

Another said: “You were a beautiful soul taken from us and will be thought of everyday. Sleep well princess.”

A 25-year-old man from Croydon was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was released under investigation, and police are appealing for witnesses.
