CRICKET fans will be thrilled with the VIP broadcaster set to bowl into the Forum in Southend next week.

Legendary cricket commentator Henry Blofeld will be appearing at the venue on Monday March 26, as part of the latest in the series of author-events at the Essex Book Festival. 

To thousands of cricket lovers all over the world, Blofeld’s voice has always been the epitome of summer. 

Now retired from cricket broadcasting, Blofeld has concentrated on writing and his new autobiography ‘Over and Out -My Innings of a Lifetime with Test Match Special’ is packed with entertaining stories as the 78-year-old relives his favourite moments in the sport and shares behind the scenes anecdotes in his inimitable style.

‘Blowers’, whose real name is Henry Calthorpe Blofeld, OBE, will be chatting about his career and his autobiography to audiences at the intimate Forum event, which starts at 7.30pm.
