Dogs Trust Basildon is currently home to an unlikely pair of dogs.
Dubbed as ‘little and large’ by the rehoming centre, Pippin is a five-year-old Westie weighing in at only 7.6kg and Andreas is a five-year-old Pyrenean Mountain Dog weighing 42kg – almost six times heavier.
The pair have their paws crossed that they will find a home to call their own very soon. The canines were handed into the rehoming centre through no fault of their own and will need patient new owners.
Lisa Cooper, Dogs Trust Basildon’s Rehoming Centre Manager, said: “This adorable couple are much loved at the centre and we really have our paws crossed for them, and hope that they find the perfect new forever home very soon.
"Having led a very outdoorsy life up until now, they will need owners who have the time and patience to get them used to home comforts. They are both very friendly, affectionate dogs and will make lovely companions.”
The dogs can live with children over 14 years and will need a quiet, relaxed home with no other pets.
If anyone would like to provide Pippin and Andreas with their happy ever after contact the rehoming centre on 0300 303 0292.
