A WOMANS body was discovered in the water off Southend seafront this morning, it has been confirmed.
The body of a woman was found in the water, along Western Esplanade, Southend, around 9.15am this morning.
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended the scene
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, Essex Police confirmed.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "We were called to concerns around 9.15am this morning after the body of a woman was found in the water along Western Esplanade, Southend.
"Emergency services attended and, sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious."
